Neptune Majestic Project was for the author a symbolic quest of parenthood, a legacy - cast in a tangible form. Its purpose was to guide children through life with encouragement to believe in their dreams and fulfill their goals with perseverance, wisdom, and determination - even if my presence was to gently fade, a distance grew, or if the bond was to be quietly tested at times
It has originated from my own artistic conception and from a soul touching experience when I developed the conceptual framework, artistic intent, and symbolic narrative of the piece. I chose a specific mythological form that encompasses an artistic beauty, fluent dynamics, wisdom and inner strength.
I sourced a quarry in Portugal and I ordered a 34 ton block of granite to be cut into specific measurements. After a short trip to Bologna city in Italy, it was a time to find an artist stone carver, and after six months of searching through the internet I found a sculptor whose skills I hired under contract, solely for the technical execution of my art project. He was to work in accordance with my detailed instructions while carving my Neptune Majestic statue. I was mindfully guiding him daily, to apply alterations from the original statue of Neptune of Bologna. The sculptor whom I commissioned was to contribute his specialist technical skills while sculpting for me while "under hire".
I used a similar approach when I purchased a custom-sized 6.5 ton block of granite stone for a plinth.I engaged a stonemason to cut it in accordance with my aesthetic lines of design, so to secure a proper and admirable viewing platform for the statue.
I am an aesthetic thinker - a visionary, someone with imagination and passion, constantly exploring beyond conventional boundaries. I am someone driven by a deep-rooted desire to solve problems creatively and to generate ideas that span a wide spectrum of aesthetic and conceptual design.
For me, what matters most is the inspiration and healing we leave behind in others.
At times, this path demands bold decisions, strategic thinking, and willingness to take risks.
Above all, I cultivate a mindset rooted in curiosity and optimism opened to change, grounded in clarity, and committed to purpose.

Neptune Majestic stands as a powerful testament to human creativity, resilience, grit and determination, at the same time embodying visual elegance and sophistication in the sculpture.
The breathtaking monolith invites admirers not to solely view the statue's grand physical form but to explore their their own limits & aspirations, to inspect self-resilience when faced with challenging task served at them during the inspirational journey through life.
Through the art project, the author sought to communicate enduring values: the power of imagination, the pursuit to excellence, and the transformative nature of perseverance.
The sculpture draws inspiration from the mythological figure - Neptune of Bologna which was erected in Italy, in 1566.
Neptune Majestic is not its direct replica but instead, it is a re-imagining crafted with purpose, adapted through thoughtful anatomical and symbolic alterations, and sculpted entirely by hand from a colossal 34-ton, 3.4-meter-high block of granite.
It is the first and only hand-carved granite interpretation of Bologna's Neptune in the world - a work of immense scale, technical difficulty, and emotional resonance. It is a fusion of strength, wisdom, and of aesthetic precision.
Storm’s Neptune Majestic is envisioned not simply as pagan god, but as an athletic figure of a young Roman, representing tenacity and grit, fused with the wisdom of aged Greek man's head. This interplay of youth and wisdom evokes a powerful emotional response in the viewer: strength without arrogance, confidence tempered by reflection.
The piece took nearly two years of intense work for a full day, six-days per week to complete. It is a testament - not only to the scale of the project but to the dedication required in its conception and in bringing it to life.
The Plinth - a foundation of reverence and emotion.
In classical sculpture, the plinth is not just a base - it is part of the message, “for what is a sculpture without its plinth?
As Auguste Rodin once said: “The plinth does for sculpture what the frame does for canvas.”
Looking upwards, the sculpture on the plinth gives a sense of power, reverence, or even divinity - much like the angels high in a cathedral ceilings - out of reach, yet eternally aspirational.”
This philosophy guided a design of the 6.5-ton granite plinth, which was custom-excavated from the same Portuguese quarry as the sculpture's stone. Storm personally designed its proportions and features to ensure that even the lowest details of the statue are visible to a viewer of an average height, thus maximizing engagement and emotional impact.
The hard raw stone of granite which symbolizes the journey of becoming Neptune Majestic is more than a figure in stone; it is a symbol of what can be achieved through imagination, persistence, and purpose.
It embodies the belief, that even the most daunting goals can be realized when grit and aesthetic vision are applied with unwavering commitment.
This sculpture serves as an invitation - especially to young dreamers - to believe in the attainability of their aspirations.
Its form and presence remind us that true success lies-not in shortcuts, but in the mastery of discipline, creativity, and self-belief.
As the artist himself states: “Pain was easy to portray. but to use passion and pain to express ecstatic beauty, hope, determination, and confidence - was of utmost importance.”
The first of its kind since 1566, Neptune Majestic stands today as the world’s only hand-carved granite reinterpretation of the Italian "Neptune of Bologna" statue, since its original creation nearly five centuries ago.
It is a sculpture that commands presence - not only for its monumental size but also for the emotion and intention carved into every line of its form.
While admiring the elegance and sophistication of this sculpture - those who are seeking to blend art and their life aspiration, may re-discover own thoughts & powers captivated within them, even when the tusk in front of them seems to be too overpowering at the time,
