Arck Storm has authored the Neptune Majestic art project in 2016 for the messages he wanted to pass onto his children.
Storm was inspired by the mythological pagan god of Neptune, not just by any figurative sculpture of Neptune but by Neptune of Bologna which was erected in the Italian city of Bologna, in 1566.
Neptune Majestic sculpture is the only hand made granite monolith, the replica-alike of an Italian statue Neptune of Bologna.
The aesthetic sculpture of Neptune Majestic symbolizes grit & determination through the passion of turning the 34 ton granite rock into the aesthetically pleasing physique of a young Roman who symbolizes tenacity and also wisdom portrayed here by the head of an old Greek wise-man; all of which evoke the positive emotional response in the admirer.
Neptune Majestic statue is not the exact replica of an Italian made Neptune of Bologna, though Storm was inspired by it tremendously. It was sculpted with some technical and anatomy based alterations which were purposely & thoughtfully introduced by Arck Storm.
The same attention in detail applies to the granite plinth which was solely designed by Storm to influence the emotional & expressive impact of the statue, for what is the sculpture without its plinth...
"Looking upwards at a sculpture, the plinth gives it a sense of power, reverence, even divinity, the same way as when you look at the angels high in cathedral ceilings – somehow being out of reach, evoking aspiration and awe".

The 6.5 ton plinth was made from a custom size granite rock which Storm has ordered to be excavated by the same Portuguese quarry. Plinth's size and its features were designed by Arck Storm in such a way, that the lower elements of the statue could be easily observed by a person of an average height.
Neptune Majestic symbolizes the grit required to stay the course in pursuing a dream. It symbolizes the need for an aesthetic projection to be applied in person's actions. It symbolizes imagination, determination and wisdom to be followed by the admirer whenever aiming at completing each goal targeted in life.
The sculpture aims to convince the young dreamer in believing that the dreams and life goals can be achieved for as long as these attributes are applied throughout the undertaken tasks.

Storm's need to create Neptune Majestic was not the effect of vanity but it was borne in his soul to originally become the legacy in support of his children, to show to them that by transforming the colossal 34 ton granite rock into a dynamic full of life athletic body of Neptune Majestic stands in the portrayal of confidence, power and elegance and to prove to them, that anything they would ever desire to succeed in through their journey - is attainable.
It gives the admirer the feeling of an ecstatic beauty, it unleashes passion, imagination, grit and determination in the will to achieve a success.
For the author of this project, "pain was easy to portray but to use passion and pain to portray the ecstatic beauty, hope, determination and confidence - was of utmost importance ".
To sculpt this monolith, the replica-alike of Bologna's Neptune out of a one solid 34 ton block of granite stone has lasted for almost two years of arduous daily work for the statue to be completed on the 15th December 2018.
It has never been done by anyone since the year 1566.

The monumental sculpture of a pagan God of the seas may astound any aesthetic arts admirer. It stands proud 5,5 meters high above the ground level when measured from the base of the plinth (6.5 ton) to the top of Neptune's trident. The posture of Neptune alone is 3,4 meters tall head to toe and it was being carved for almost two years between 2016-2018 out of a single block of Portuguese granite "Blanco Salinas". The granite block weighed 34 tonnes at the time of excavation. The statue is of 1 : 1 scale of its original version and it similarly weighs 2.3 ton. It bears an impeccably pure resemblance to the Italian 460 years old bronze cast of "Neptune of Bologna", the symbol of the city of Bologna.
